A History of Us is a commissioned site-specific time capsule and plaque that was developed in collaboration with the students, faculty and administration of the Academy of American Studies high school in Long Island City, NY. Following in the long tradition
of incorporating time capsules into new buildings that was started in 1795 by Paul Revere and Samule Adams, this time capsule provides a truly unique opportunity to engage the schools site and its history. The time capsule was sealed in 2022 and will be reopened in the year 2072.
